Banksy is an English guerrilla artist who had garnered international recognition for his often politically-charged works of art, including the Academy Award-nominated documentary Exit Through the Gift Shop. Last year, an executive producer of The Simpsons reached out to Banksy through his documentary’s producers and invited him to do an opening for the show. The result speaks volumes about the cost of Western consumerism and the power of art. -Sarah

I couldn’t resist! Perhaps sharing this video would have been more appropriate back in February when 47 years ago the Beatles made their first appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show.
